My AW does not Handoff to iPhone, help!

I have Handoff enabled but I can have text messaging open, or other Apple apps open on the AW but I get nothing on my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.4. I thought text messaging was one of the apps that is Handoff supported? If it is not, what apps are? I am usually very good about these things but I cannot figure out what is going on here. I have restarted both my AW and iPhone 6 yet I still cannot get Handoff to work.

Do you only have it open, or are you texting / reading a message?

Handoff isn't actually associated with apps (generally), but with actions the apps perform. Sometimes that action can be "view", but often in detail views.

If you're composing and handoff, the composure screen is activated. If you're reading a thread, then handoff will send you to that thread (detail view).

If those are true, then I'd repair your watch and see how that goes.
