So at the end of April, my mom is getting a PC laptop. It's her decision and I can't convince her otherwise. Soooooooo, I am getting my 1Ghz TiBook that I gave her back!

Sentiment aside, what shall I do with the little rascal? I was thinking of replacing my XBMC with it and leave it connected to my media setup 247. However, I don't know the best method for doing this. I have a ton of media encoded Xvid for the Xbox, maybe iTunes could work? But there's always the idea of a MythTV... but is there a MythTV that runs on PowerPC boxen?

Well, if there's a MythTV that runs on Intel Mac boxen, then it should also run on PowerPC boxen. :)

Why don't you just make it into a secondary IM/Web/iTunes box? Or a media server?

The media server idea would be nice, however, I'd like to get into HD and the XBMC doesn't really play back HD all that smoothly...

Well, I would suppose that is a significant issue.

Why don't you just keep it as a backup in case your computer fails?
