my backups have been while JB'd...say i get a new phone or something...are those okay

to be honest all i ever care to transfer over is my contacts...can someone show me how to backup just a contact file in case something catostrophic happened and i got a new phone, whether it be an iphone or something else.



but say i got an iphone 5....would my backups that are JB'd be okay to use? regardless i wanna start fresh at times, minus my contacts which i would like to have just those backed up to be imported to whatever i get next

just looked thru back ups and they're all during JB era =/

I've restored from a backup created during a JB, and it was completely fine. But, obviously, you won't have cydia/your JB apps even if you re-JB, which is why apps like PkgBackup exist for you to save all your current JB apps.
