Hi there,

I just did the dumbest thing possible, I was doing my monthly disc rotational backup and thought the MacPro was off (it is facing the other way under my desk so it wasn't obvious. I pulled it out and then I went to turn on. It came out of sleep fine and warned me of a device removal.

Now the thing is, i can't discern any issue with it and both drives are working fine as I can see it after diagnostics.

My question really is whether you think I could have done any damage. I may be wrong but it seems that all power to the Sata bus was off as nothing actually happened when I removed the HD. Could the data bus be damaged? If so, how would I find out.

Thanks for any help

Since the computer was asleep, it wasn't writing to the drive when you yanked it. So, you should be fine. Just don't make a habit of it! :)

No I'll try not to! Stupid thing to do, but i'm hoping (touch wood) no harm has been done.
