Ok guy, I Hardly in fact go check my iPhone 15 battery. A lot like to once a while go in check their Battery health, compare how many percentage after xxx number of cycle charging etc.

So I happen go check again. The First time I go in my Battery option is to see the optimization charging is Turn on while I never set charging limit as to 100 percent. This is where by the optimization charging option come out let your turn on or off which I turn it on.

So I remember the manufacturing date is dec 2023. I start using it on Mar 2O24. Fast forward already one year now Sept 2025. I happen go in my base iPhone 15 check the battery health , I was ?? 72 percent and it claim need to service. After 280 cycle of charging.

Now it show Apple recommend to charge 90 percent limit. Under the battery option. All along I set to 100 percent and optimization charging is turn on.

So my question is , since my Battery claim " service " should I continue set to 100 percent charge with optimization charging turn on as usual OR set to 90 percent limit which the iphone recommended as I saw the info there.

Do what the phone suggest for now. Can you post a screenshot?
The phone suggest I charge to 90 percent limit instead the usual 100 percent limit. Nevertheless I just now do some test around. Not sure is it due to " psychology factor ". Last night I set to 90percent limit charge since apple suggest. ( Do note I NEVER go check my battery status ever since I start using my base iPhone 15 back on March 2024. Which first use do show on Mar 2024 whereas this phone is manufacture on Dec 2023. When I get the phone, i just check is set 100 limit charge and with optimized charging turn on. That it. Use till recently Sept 2025 which is this month. So I happen to check the battery status as I noticed the battery seem losing it hold. As Usually by 12am I still left 30 to 40 percent even 50 percent sometimes. I not a heavy user come taking photo or video, or watch ton of videos even see stream on my phone. I just only scroll social media, web surfing , checking apps info. Once a while watch just one or few youtube videos but always on fast forward. My habit on using the phone never changed daily. SO , the test.... I charge according from Apple suggestion 90 percent limit. I also happen to see my battery under Service mode. Next day , I noticed drainage of the battery seem faster EPIC than I usually set to charge 100 percent limit. I don't know perhaps my iphone 15 battery is " weird " or heywire come the status.
