Coconut Battery says my battery health has steadily improved over past few months from 85% to 90%. See Attached.

In the same period System Profile has shown a similar increase.

Anyone surprised about this?

And what is with the two batteries? It has not had a battery change.

The charge level and temperature greatly influence the guessed battery life that coconutBattery shows. I wouldn't take those numbers as gospel - more like rough estimate. My experience with coconutBattery is that it can deviate at least 5% depending on several factors. Use it as a general rough estimator.

Thanks. Yes I agree and having used Coconut for many years I have seen variability and scatter. But my data is not showing scatter, it is showing a steady trend, which is why I am so surprised. It is consistent with the data from System Profile. When I got the machine (used) six months ago SP showed 89% and now it shows 93%. It spends nearly all the time indoors in my study where temperature is very consistent.

I have no idea about the usage it had in its first 30 months before I bought it, but maybe my usage has "exercised" the cells so as to cause some recovery.
