not sure if it's just a glitch or not, phone is brand new only a month old. I checked what apps were running and mail said it was as high as 82 percent in background activity thought that was unusual. But I charge my phone every 2 days because I don't do much on it and it went from 100 to 57 percent literally in 1 day overnight.

my battery randomly dropped big time overnight last night...

I had a similar event on my iPad Pro last week. It was fully charged at bedtime when I unplugged it. The next morning is was down to 75% due to 9 hours of Mail running in the background.
