I've got a weird situation: my Bluetooth headphones I've used for 2 years with my iPhone 6s won't pair with my new iPhone X. I've done the following troubleshooting:

  • paired the headphones with my iPhone 6s so I know the headphones work fine
  • paired the headphones with my MBP so I know the headphones work fine
  • paired other Bluetooth devices with my iPhone X and those devices pair just fine

So it just seems to be that these headphones won't pair with my iPhone X, yet they'll pair with other iPhones, and other Bluetooth devices will pair with my iPhone X.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Reset it? I bought a pair of B&O E8 and they stopped working with my Note 8 after a few days. Messed around and reseted then worked

Sorry, to hijack the thread, but how do you like the E8’s? I was thinking of picking them up but worried one side will cut out.

Connection is perfectly fine no cut outs. If you move the left pair away from the right the left will cut out but as long as both are in your ears they are fine. They also sound great.

As both side hardware working fine ad they connect other blue tooth devices. So only issue remain is bluetooth setting of apple iphone. Try to reset setting and also discconnect any bluetooth audio device connected to iphone. then try to connect. Unpair any other bluetooth device.
Go to setting and then bluetooth and then upair all other bluetooth devices.
Keep headphone and iphone very close to each other and then try.
