I just bought a WD MyBook Home 1TB at Costco, great drive, I desperately needed the extra space for storing my backup, and storing all my handbrake encodes. Then I saw that WD has a RAID enclosure, the MyBook Studio.
What are the differences to buying the Mybook Studio ($599) vs just buying two Mybook home ($460, $230*2) and setting them up under a RAID through Leopard? Other than the connection differences and the studio has both drives in one user serviceable enclosure, what other features would make me want the studio vs two homes? Any downsides of having two externals set up as a RAID using Leopard using FW400?
Thanks!
