My Case-Mate Pop! Arrived

And so far it's a really good case. After a few hours if usage it seems that it doesn't flake nearly as much as the CandyShell, in fact, I can't find anywhere where it has flakes, although this will probably change over time. Will have a review and pics up soon!

Yep, after about two hours. I absolutely love the style an the protection but the flakiness and the scratched back are hard to get over. It stil doesn't flake as much as the CandyShell though, here are some pics I took with my phone real quick for proof.

Thanks for the pictures.
I thought Case Mate might have done a better job at capitalizing on the fact that the Speck Candyshell is a great seller and fan favorite and the Case Mate Pop is meant to be a direct hybrid competitor to the Candyshell.

But it seems similar problems exists between the two cases, namely the flaking problem with the rubber and seemingly the scratching of the back which seems to show quite heavily in your pictures under lighting.

Yeah, it's one of those love hate things. This case has so much potential but even minor setbacks can screw things over. I really thought that the Pop! was not going to flake. Also, it seems to be very similar in terms of the rubber material that they used.
 
I'm not sure why your case would flake so easily.
I've had the white pop for a week now, got it from ebay and it's as good as new. Zero flaking so far, it looks and feels very nice.

Shouldn't you be contacting them for a replacement?

Yeah, this is a review sample, so maybe it's an older version they just had left over? I don't see why they would do that though. They're closed for the holidays so I'll have to go with the review I already have written up. And the white one doesn't flake at all. Your really lucky, cause I love this case so much except for the flaking part, I'll have to contact them for a white version replacement and the flaking issue. I'm surprised no one has contacted them and complained yet, anyway, here is another pic for the flaking.

I'll agree, have had mine for a while. Only used it a few times but it is good as new and I am starting to like it better then the candyshell, but still a tough call.

That really makes me mad, you guys are so lucky, I need to contact them then.

I will say that their customer service is awesome though. I talked to Lauren and she sent me it on the 20th and I got it in the morning of the 22nd.

Case-Mate has ALWAYS had awesome customer service which is why I don't mind trying products from them. And btw we did mention we had white, you have a black.

Yeah, but I don't see how the color of the plastic makes a difference, is the silicone any different?

Still not as bad as the Candyshell but I guess it's annoying.
