I have a mac mini and an ipod touch. My itunes is outdated and wont recognize my ipod touch for anything more than a camera. So I download itunes 7.6 and nothing happens. The itunes looks the same and the old version so it didnt download. Is it because my mac is on an old operating system? (mine is 10.3.9) I need help to download itunes 7.6 so that i can put music onto my ipod touch. Any suggestions?

As per Apple's site (iPod touch specs), you need 10.4.10 minimum to use it. I suspect this is needed for iTunes 7.6.

http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html

Requirements are on the right.

According to Apple's website:

* Mac OS X 10.3.9 or Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later required for iTunes
* Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later required for iPhone
* 500MHz G3 processor or better
* QuickTime 6.5.2 or later
* 256MB RAM
* Combo/SuperDrive to burn CDs
* Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music

They made an iPhone distinction, and 8/10 times they also mean iTouch in those kinds of distinctions. I would say you need at least Tiger for this to fly.

Yes, buy Tiger for $129. But you'd be better off buying Leopard if your system supports it.
