Hi,
I'm on an iMac running OS 10.3.9. I don't know what caused my contextual menus to go missing, but when I right-click (or control-click) on anything on the desktop, my computer thinks for a second, everything on the desktop disappears for another second, and then everything comes back, but still no contextual menu.
My right-click button works on other programs (Entourage, Firefox, etc.) but not on the desktop.
I think the problem might have something to do with the fact that I used Cocktail to repair disk permissions and also used it to rebuild the launch services database. I've never done the latter before. After doing this maintenance, I restarted according to Cocktail's instructions and since then, my menus have been gone.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
