I live in a dormitory, and I don't have a computer, but I'm trying to install my iPod touch on my roommate's computer, and he has the latest iTunes and everything. I keep getting this message, though: "You currently do not have the latest version of Apple Mobile Device Support." I look at the "About iTunes", and it says that my it currently has AppleMobileDevice 1.1.1.1.

Now, see, here's the thing. Since we are a high school, we only get very limited internet in our dorm rooms (no apple.com, etc.). My friend, though, had the iTunes setup file for the latest iTunes and I jump drived it over to my roommate's computer. No avail, it still says I have AppleMobileDevice 1.1.1.1. Then, the weird thing is, I go upstairs to another friend's computer, who has iTunes version 7.1 or something with no AppleMobileDevice, I install the same exact setup file, and, voila, iTunes 7.5 with AppleMobileDevice 1.1.2.3, and iPod touch works perfectly.

Help? Is there something I can do with my roommate's computer that'll help the latest AppleMobileDevice get on? Can someone link to a downloadable version of the LATEST LATEST file of iTunes (and--I kid you not--the apple/itunes website is blocked)?
