I finished building this macbook out of lots of parts. The Logic Board is a 2.0GHZ Core duo and it has 1.5GB RAM.
Sometimes when I open the lid it restarts from a black screen. And I can't install the Firmware because of "An Unexpected Error occured your firmware could not be updated (0)".
Ideas?

It's kind of hard to say what's wrong in this situation. Especially if the computer was pieced together with parts from questionable sources (eBay), one or more of them may be defective.

I'd suspect bad RAM, or a bad main logic board in this case.

Apple normally charges $280 for a flat-rate out-of-warranty repair, but they will not repair a computer whose serial number has been modified.

Best of luck.

IT was just the firmware update.
The parts I got from a friend at school, who's brother stepped on it. As a result breaking the screen. It is now sleeping like a baby.
