Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a used macbook pro from craigslist for $1600.

Early 2013 Macbook pro 15" retina
2.8ghz
16gb ram
512gb hard drive
w/ 2 yr Applecare

I did my research before buying and I've had the laptop looked at by the peeps at the genius bar to verify everything was functioning and running correctly and thankfully everything was indeed running excellent, warranty checked out, battery is still at 98% with only a few cycles on it. The only downside is this little tiny dent on the back of the laptop, which sadly bugs the living crap out of me.

So my question to you guys, should I resell this laptop and save up to buy myself a new-ish macbook pro. I'm looking into getting the late 2013 2.3 ghz with the same specs. or should I just keep it, as it's only just a small dent. Is there a big difference in processor speed from a early 2013 2.8ghz processor to a late 2013 2.3ghz processor?

Anyone have any other reason why I should keep it or resell it?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Thank you,

1600$ is a really good deal for that laptop. They can go for around 1900$. A small dent for 200-300$ is worth it, personally. The 2013 model will not be that much better. I would keep it, or I could take it off your hands for 1500$ :p.
