Hey guys, this might not apply to everyone and most wont care, but I just sold my 16gb 3gs for $450 using this CraigsList post that i created. It added more credability to my post and I received a number of responses. Just post the following in your CL add, no pics required... (once altered)

You can alter the text in the body to suite what you are selling I believe, (city, price optiosn etc)

Could very well be, this guy wanted an unlocked for tmobile, but you never know

i sold my 3GS black 16gig for $250. Out of like 50 emails i received about 40 of them were Indians. Apparently they buy the phones in the US for cheap then take them back to India where they are expensive as hell.
 
how do you modify your location and edit the post in the first paragraph next to the iphone picture?

I modified the bottom portion but cannot find the top part.

Yes, nearly all the replies we got were middle eastern names. Apprently that's where the demand is. At least, as far as Craigslist is concerned.
 
Loves2spoon, true good point i was hoping it would be in the code.... if you want i can make a quick custom one with words...just tell me what you want top to say etc..
 
I'm thinking of upgrading to the iphone 4.

Ive got a 16G 3GS which is 8 months old.

Without bothering to unlock and jailbreak it, can I just erase my data and sell it as-is for a similar price?

Is there still demand for these phones?

Anyone on MR want it?

eV... you LITERALLY just copy the code and paste it in your craigs list posting..you dont have ot upload pics or anything... scroll down in the txt and change what you want the wording to say. Mine is pretty generic so it will work for a lot of people but I can change the top heading upon request..
 
Cool. I'll give it a shot. Mine's the same model, except it's a 3 week old replacement so in mint condition. Running 3.1.3 with the 5.12.09 baseband. I might wait a week upgrade it to 4.0 and then unlock it. Might get more cash. Plus, there's a lot of 3Gs out there right now, let the dust settle a bit.

Could you make an identical one for 32gb 3GS? So, just replace 16gb with 32gb and change location to scottsdale, AZ 85259.

I vote this the most useful thread in the iPhone forums for the last couple of weeks. There's CRAP being posted these days!
 
If you have time could you do one the same as the 3GS but for (iPhone 3G 8GB Black)
no headphones or box. Just the phone and a case. lol Price = $250

Unlocked and Jailbroken on iOS 4.0!

I would return the favor someday if you ever need anything :D
