My Dell 34" curved monitor only works at 30Hz

My Dell 34" curved monitor only works at 30Hz with its native resolution (3440*1440), but I found some guys here can get up to 50 Hz with the LG 34" curved one with has a 3440*1400 resolution.

Does this little difference (3440*40 pixels)matter so much?
I connected this monitor by the HDMI adaptor to my rMB and the monitor is DELL U3415W

Use Displayport connection should give you 50hz (my mac mini does on my Samsung 34er)
