My dock loses Genie effect after screen saver

As the title reads, can anyone help me? I leave it on for an extended period of time (usually 15mins, the set time for my ss) and then my dock loses its genie effect whenever i move the cursor over it.

Something wrong? Does it have anything to do with my Screen saver ("Computer Name")? I will admit that sometimes it gets the "computer name" bug, making the SS a folder instead.

it's kinda retarded i gotta reset my computer just to get my genie effect to return into action..

EDIT: magnification dies out on me, not genie.

If you go to the Apple Menu and head down to Dock, does it recognise that Magnification is off?

but yeah, it's still turned on. and it still doesn't solve my problem unfortunately.
