All of a sudden, my downloads are not completing. A podcast will begin downloading, and then - depending on the size - it slows to a complete stop. If I pause the download, and then restart it...it begins downloading at a normal rate.

Same thing with youtube type videos. I was trying to watch something on youtube, and about 1 minute into the video...nothing. Wouldn't move or complete the feed (or whatever it is called...)

This is the first problem I've ever had that I couldn't figure out.

I have an iBook 1.2 GHz PowerPC G4 with 1.25 GB of RAM. Running OSX 10.4.10.

Generally, I use FireFox as my browser.

I cleaned out my personal data/cache, etc.

Oh...I also searched the forum before posting this, but wasn't sure what to search...so, if this is a repost - sorry!

Thanks,

B

did you install any extensions recently?

does a new firefox profile help?

if the problem occurs with different browser, you might have problem with your internet connection.

I decided to put a WPA password on my wireless network. Guess what...yep, downloads are working great now. People must have been leeching off our signal.

Thanks for the help.
