That's most of the problem, I've had very bad luck with Memorex media. Do a search on MR as I've answered more than a few threads like this. The media that works really well is Verbatum and TDK as well as a few others. If you can return them I would and get a different brand.

Ya memorex sucks for me too...I use Fuji DVD-R's and they work well for some reason.

I have had bad luck with Memorex media... I can't burn at anything above 4x on my Mac mini.

I have had good luck with HP, Sony, and Verbatim. Stay away from Philips, because the foil(?) on the top peels off after a while... sucks for slot-loading drives.

Verbatim works great on my 15" PB DL. Verbatim 16x media burns at the PB's max speed (8x). Only have to wait 6 min to finish a full 4.7 GB burn :)

Weird, I guess its a Mac thing because I have used nothing but Memorex on all my Windows machines and never had any problems in the past 3 years... I guess I gotta go get some other brand. Ok, thanks all.
