This is actually the first ipod touch to have it...havent you ever noticed how your finger always slid better on an iphone than ipod touch and left less marks?

Yeah, is saying so, anyway. And the specs match up. However, it may be made by a different manufacturer.
I think from iPhone 4 to 4S they changed from LG to Toshi(t)ba, and people complained that the colors seemed more washed out and the blacks less black in the newer displays.

I personally think the "fingerprint resistant coating" is overrated. I have the new third generation iPad that supposedly has the fingerprint resistant coating on it, but there are still finger smudges all over the place.

there is no way the third IPAD has that, if it does it sure does not work

It isn't supposed to magically prevent fingerprints from getting on the screen, just make them much easier to wipe off.
