Picked up the very last Space Grey Series 5 watch at Walmart for an on sale price of $299. My very first Apple Watch!
Just got it paired with my iPhone 8 plus. I am amazed how easy it was to set up for this first time Apple Watch (or any smartwatch) user. Couldn't have been much easier. Kudos to the folks at Apple for making it so simple for even someone like me to understand.
I like the always on display. Though admittedly it wouldn't have been a deal breaker if it didn't have it. And it's nice I can use Apple Pay with the watch and keeping my iPhone in my pocket. Definitely a bit more convenient.
I am sure I will have questions to pester you all about how to fully use this thing. But in the meantime, I am very happy with the purchase so far. Will definitely have to dump the standard "sports band" that came with it. Feels a bit too flimsy for my taste. But other than that, couldn't be happier with it. Good job, Apple.
