My first ipad apps

so, i've ordered a 64gb wifi ipad, and have made a list of the first ipad apps i'm going to get, i've got £100 in itunes gift cards and these are the apps i'm going to buy, and can you tell me some more to get ( don't tell me to get the iwork suite or ibooks) , all the apps come to about £60 becuase i want to save some for later and some for a few books. Here goes:


Plant vs Zombies HD - £5.99
X-Plane for ipad - £5.99
Where’s Wally? HD - £2.99
Real racing HD - £5.99
Pinball HD - £1.79
The Elements - £7.99
International Snooker HD - £2.99
Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition for iPad - £2.99
Dungeon Hunter HD - £3.99
Mirror’s Edge for iPad - £7.59
Moto X Mayhem for iPad - £0.59
Let’s Golf! HD - £2.99
Archery by MMMOOO - £0.59
New York 3D Rollercoaster Rush HD - £2.99
Fieldrunners for iPad - £4.99

so thats about £60 worth, plz tell me some more good ones to get, thanks :D
 
Angry birds HD … it's awesome now with the new update!
Goodreader ... Good all-round filemanager (inapp) and PDF reader.
Sketchbook pro or brushes ... if you are into drawing or sketching.
Instapaper ... For offline reading, just mark it from anywhere in a pc or Mac or iPhone.
Reeder ... For your google reader needs!

These are what I remember offhand!

thanks sounds good, i also decided not to get mirrors edge because it costs load, i'll wait for it to go down, also, is angry birds HD and bette than the iphone version, because i got bored of the iphone version, does the ipad one have more levels and things?

yep, it's just because games are the main thing im gonna be using it for, but any other app recommendations are appreciated, mind you that i'm in the UK so apps like ABC player are unavailable to me :(
 
I would also reconsider elements if you are only going to play games, plus it's of more use to a student or a chemistry or metals buff! It will lose it's eye candy soon enough if you are not gonna use it regularly!

I'm in the UK too. My most used iPad apps are:

  • iBooks
  • Instapaper
  • Reeder
  • Atomic Web Browser
  • Twitterrific
  • MLB At Bat 2010
  • Evernote
  • GoodReader
  • sobees Lite
  • WeatherProHD
  • Wikipanion
  • Docs2Go
  • Quickoffice
  • PCalc Lite
  • LogMeIn Ignition

None of these are games and some are quite expensive apps but they all increase my personal productivity in some way. I'm the reverse of you, I hardly use my iPad for games, although I do have a couple installed.

Instapaper - $5, so maybe less in £
Reeder - $5, maybe less in £
Simplenote - Free
Wikipanion - Free
Dropbox app (if you use Dropbox) - Free
BBC News - Free (is there an iPlayer app as well?)
NPR - Free
Guardian Eyewitness - Free
A calculator app. Either PCalc Lite or Soulver. PCalc Lite is free, Soulver is $6, maybe less in £
A weather app. I like Accuweather. There is a free version & a $1 version (probably £1)
A clock app like NightStand HD - I got it for $1, but now it's $3
GoodReader - $1, so probably £1
IMDb - Free
A Twitter app - probably Twitterific - Free w/ option of $5 (£3?) upgrade
Pandora - Free
