Hello everyone, new user here, long time lurker.

First off, thanks for all the information on launch day, I ended up going to Target and getting the gift card thanks to all the information on here. And believe me, after a long day of power line work (electrician, trying to restore power in places where they got hit with five ft. of snow) nothing was better than walking in and knowing exactly what I was looking for and what to expect.

So this is my first iPad, and I must say, I'm loving the retina display and the speed on this thing. I loaded up some of my higher end apps I was used to using on my 4S (still no iPhone 5 around here yet, haha), and couldn't believe the difference in speed for Garageband and simply opening documents in Pages. This thing simply screams, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Now for the could-have-been devastating part. When I awoke on Saturday morning to really start using my shiny new device, I had put it in a sleeve the night before and in my excitement to get it out, it slid out of the case and fell right around five feet onto my hardwood floor. I stood there in shock for about ten seconds expecting to pick up my 700.00 device and find it scratched and dented, but surprisingly.... NOT A SCRATCH on this thing. So I'm more than happy with the durability of the new iPad but I will be getting a case today for sure, haha.

So in closing, this is really more of a thank you for all of the information on here, saved me both time and money.
