I like a lot of people here upgraded from my 1st Gen iPhone to the 3G on the 11th. My first AT&T bill for the new phone arrived today, no real surprise's here.

$18.00 One time charge for upgrade fee.

My total phone bill for my iPhone line increased to $109.99. That is the 900 anytime minutes package with unlimited texting.

Just thought some people might be wondering if there was a surprise heading there way from the fine folk's at AT&T. :)

did they not charge you for the 30$ data plan the first month?

just wondering. because the 900 anytime is 60$, the fee is 18$ and 30 for the texting plan.... thats 108 as it is...? just wondering, correct me if im wrong,.

How? The 900 minute plan is $89.99 plus $30 data plan = $119.99.

The $89.99 plan includes data and the unlimited text is $20 more, making the total bill $109.99. Then you have to add in the $18 upgrade charge plus any taxes and fees. The final bill could not have been $109.99 under the OP scenario.

The $109.99 is what my normal monthly bill will be. The bill was $144.93 for my iPhone line, with taxes and activation added in.

The 900 anytime minute plan on my bill is $59.99 same as alway's. Then add $30 for the iPhone plan to get to the $89.99 price that was mentioned. I also added the $20 dollar unlimited texting to this line.

I thought unlimited texting was $20?

As for the data plan, the $30 was included in the plan. Therefore, the 900 minute plan is $89.99 per month including data. Add $20 per month for texting and you get $109.99.

Your reoccuring monthly bill will be around $126.93 for the plan you have chosen.

Sorry for the confusion I was just stating what my normal monthly bill would be before taxes in my original post, since taxes vary by State.
