So i've owned the touch for at least 3 years, finally jumping on the phone bandwagon and had a couple of noob question on the iPhone in general

  1. Can you change the Text tone and ringtone and customize it for all your contacts? What about pictures for contacts?
  2. This is my first phone on the At&t line, when I get the phone how would I go about activating it? do I get to choose the number?
  3. What kind of things can you ask siri?
  4. I've been seeing a lot about people unlocking phones. What does this do and how does it benefit me?

Thanks if you can answer, really hyped to get mine friday!

1. Yes

2. Plug the iPhone into your computer and follow the instructions.

3. With Siri, the best thing to do is just start asking away.

4. Unlocking a phone means you can use it on other (mostly) foreign networks if you have their sim card. If you signed a contract, you have to wait awhile before AT&T allows you to do this.

You have all of those options for contacts. You can also set custom vibrations.

To activate you just connect it to iTunes or from the phone itself. You can't choose your number as far as I'm aware.

Unlocking lets you use other carriers with your phone. It's useful when traveling overseas.

What Siri can do:
