Finally! I've got the means to get one!

I've set my eyes on a macbook pro for quite some time now. I'm going to go today and get it.

I'm planning to get the MBP 15". For school and work at the same time. I think the footprint would be good for me, since I ride around on my motorcycle all the time.

Just a thought though, when Leopard comes around, do you think it would cost me anything to get an upgrade?

P.S.: no more windoze-dependencies.... yippie!

if it comes out within 14 days, no after 14 days, yes.

Congrats on your purchase, (To be) Youll LOVE it. :)

Congratulations on your purchase. most likely you will end up having to pay for leopard, but it probably wont be too much.

Ah ok. I should save a bit money for that then. I'm looking forward to Leopard as well. Is iLife 07 far better than 06? Should I put that on my wishlist as well? :p

I don't think we really know what's coming in it, but, from what we've heard, there ill be some amazing integration of new Leopard capabilities, so I think it'd be worth it. You might only have to wait for a month or two... which'd save you the $200 or so Leopard + iLife '07 would cost.

We won't know how much better iLife 07 will be than 06 until it comes out. I don't think that there has even been many rumors about it yet.

Edit: 500th post

Well, I am working and I'm doing a degree at the same time. I do need my hardware now. And who knows how long we're going to wait. The only thing I hate about Apple so far is the waiting game the play with you, all the secrecy is driving me nuts BUT I'm just gonna go get the MBP first anyways and pay for the upgrade.

Posting a reply right now on my mbp, and I tell you, there's nothing like the feeling of breaking in something brand new, straight out of a box.

Well, the OS is sweet, the setup is straightforward enough. Plenty of stuff to download, just don't know where to start. HA!

Yeap, just did that, thank God for broadband. All updated within 20mins :D
