I just bough my first ever MBP and had a few questions.

Firstly, what is this about a charge cycle that i have seen many posts about, do i need to do this?

And secondly if i was to leave my MBP connected to the mains when using it, will this shorten the life of the battery as it is constantly being charged or does it have some kind of cut out where the MBP will be running of the mains?

Thanks you in advance:)

The standard advice seems to be...

1. Leaving it plugged in doesn't damage the battery
2. Running it down about once a month is advised

I leave mine plugged in all the time
