Hi! I hope this mini review can help many users that are deciding if they should buy a MBP 16" right now.

Before buying, I was afraid because of all the issues reported on the forum.
But my "old" MBP 13" 2017 had screen problems, and I really needed a new laptop, and the 13" never quite was able to keep up with my needs.

Regarding Heat and Fan Noise
Using it without a display, the laptop is completely silent, and not at all hot.
I'm running one Virtual Machine, Chrome, Safari, several Excel files, Music, Mail, Web Development and some other apps.
I never hear the fans.

BUT, when you connect an external display, and keep the lid open, you can bet you'll have fan noise if your room is not cool.
If you always use your laptop like this, I would advise on waiting until a fix is made.

I rarely use external display, only when presenting to clients, and I've found in those scenarios, without power adaptor and disabling Turbo Boost, the fans stay quite even with the lid open.

Kernel Panics
Had one the first day. I disabled Power Nap and have not had a single problem again.
I suppose this will get fixed in a future Mac OS release.

Display
I don't see any ghosting or other problems.
I won't say the display is better than the one in the MBP 13", it is simply the same.

Speakers
No problems at all. They sound amazing and no popping sounds at all.

------------------

I have really enjoyed using my MBP.
My previous 2017 MBP 13" I never really enjoyed. But this machine is perfect.
It's big, but not really a problem if you don't travel a lot.

My advice, if you need a laptop right now, go for it.
Problems, as always, are over inflated at forums.

Thanks for sharing. I will likely buy a 16 inch in the next 1-2 months. My 15.4 MBP Retina from mid 2012 has been bullet proof without a single issue. I hope the 16 inch will be as reliable
