i need to uninstall calibri fonts and a couple others, i have searched for them, they are not in font book, how do i delete them! they are messed up, they type up wierd symbols instead of text and a application has converted all my notes into this symbol text!

Take a look in ~/Library/Fonts. You can safely delete the appropriate font files from there if you find them. Make sure they're the right ones! Quick View and Font Book will both preview a particular font file without having to import it into your collection. You could trash the entire directory without technical repercussions, but you'd also be out a hell of a lot of your own fonts. The system fonts are safely stored elsewhere.
