I do not know how or why but for some strange reason, my garageband application in my dock showed a question mark behind it and when I went into applications, it was nowhere to be found! Can anyone at least hint to me how this application just vanishes? I did not delete it but it is gone. And if you have a clue as to how it is gone, could you, in some way, tell me how to get it back? Thanks in advance.

Oh and, I apologize if this thread is in the wrong section.

If there is another administrative user on the computer system, do a Spotlight search in each of them. I have seen many a time where someone else moved the application to the Desktop on one user account, which prevents other users on the system from being able to run it. Otherwise continue with the reinstall as planned.

Thanks everyone. I did a spotlight search and found every song I've ever sent to my Itunes, every sound file garageband uses (Including loop sounds that would not show up when I clicked on them) but the application itself isn't there. I searched that link and it says I need to reinstall it from the DVD that came with the laptop. Being that all that is in storage in another state, I may be without garageband at least until Spring Break rolls around. The good thing that comes out of this is, when I DO get garageband back, I'll have more loop sounds to work with that I didn't know I had. :)

The beauty of the Spotlight.
