So today I was trying to use my gps to find directions but it doesn't look like the antenna is working. I thought it was bad signal but my gf's iPhone found us within 30secs. I tried turning on and off the location services and the phone. I even tried to hard reset it but it still doesn't work. Is there anything I can do to test my gps to see if it works?

You didn't say how old your iPhone is or if you had damaged it in some way.

Sorry guys it is a 3g iphone and it is less than a year old. I checked on Apple's website and they said my limited warranty is good until July 14, 2009. However, I am not the original owner.

I would do what the previous person suggested. Sync your data to the computer and then restore the iPhone, setting it up as a new phone.

If this does not work, your warranty is good. Apple supports the device, not the owner so you will have no problems getting warranty support.
