I plugged in an old 30GB Photo I had lying around, it was fried, wondering if I could get it up and running again and use it as an External HDD, well I plugged it in, an unknown error occured and the disc couldn't be read or written to, and now my HDD Icon on my desktop is an iPod:

(don't mind lindsay lohan, she's just hanging out, being hot)

Any ideas? How do I change it back?

Get info on it (Command + I), click the iPod icon in the get info panel, and hit delete.

For future reference, if what you want to take a screenshot of is a small part of your display, hit Command + Shift + 4 instead of Command + Shift + 3 - this will give you crosshairs with which you can select an area of your screen to take a screenshot, instead of the entire screen.

Simple thing first...do a Get Info (Command-I) on your hard drive, click on the hard drive icon in that window to highlight it (it is also the wrong icon in the Info window, right?), then hit delete. Any change?

Woo! it worked, thanks again guys. Never knew that icon was even clickable o_O

No fair! If he did this we wouldn't get the pleasure of looking at Lindsay Lohan!
