so my configuration is (1,86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) (4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3) and (NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB).\
so my first impression is how fast it boots it boots in 15-20 seconds its very impressive for a 10 year old computer.
when its booted I usually enter my password and turn on logic or final cut pro (the 2017 version of final cut pro)
and it is very responsive but the temps do go up pretty fast. on logic max temp is 80 degrees celsius and idle is 60 degrees celsius
and it runs with absolutely no lag. final cut pro is a bit extreme for this computer but it runs pretty smooth you can edit a 1080p timeline ok
720p is buttery smooth but if you run iMovie it runs amazing. now I have tried putting the Catalina patcher but I failed spectacularly at the end of the install it kernel crashed so yeah not great. anyway the biggest problem is youtube playback, here it really shows the age of this computer 720p will run ok but 1080p is out of the question. with 20-25 fps it is unusable with a lot of lag 720p has some lag too but in the start and it gets normal in like 30 seconds. gaming is also very laggy the only games that don't lag a lot are RPG's and retro games
like emulators and such but in conclusion high Sierra runs Good on this machine and its configuration for some word processing and light editing and for music work it runs great like Logic Pro x and GarageBand I haven't tried Ableton tho thank you for listening to my short-long review of my MacBook Air (13-inch, Late 2010) running high Sierra. sincerely
