Hi.

I have a macbook pro w/ leopard. I plugged in a usb cable to into my computer : phone- usb cord- computer and I received a message saying something to the effect of "to much power being drawn, the hub its connected to will be deactivated".

How do I reactivate my usb hub?

Can someone please give me the step by step directions on what to do?

Thank You!

Plug it into the USB port on the right side of the computer. It supplies more power than the one on the left side.

i plugged it in the right side to begin with. it said that (the right one) would be deactivated. any more suggestions?

Thanks so much:)

Is this a self powered usb hub? It doesn't sound like it is.

You have too many devices connected. The hub itself draws power along with the rest of the devices, more than the usb port can handle.

I would recommend getting another hub that is self powered. There are many to choose from and relatively inexpensive.
