This morning I turned my iMac on, which is a generation older than the newest version, and it took a very long time to get logged on and when it finally did there were weird things happening.

I am also still running OSX Mountain Lion.

1) when I put an SD card in the SD slot, it doesn't recognize that anything is plugged in.
2) Quick time doesn't work
3) The computer was running slower, I have 12GB of RAM.
4) This is the first time this has ever happened.

I'm sure there are more issues but I had to leave for work and I shut it down before I left.

Does anyone have any ideas why this would randomly happen to my iMac?

Thanks,
