My iMac can't see my iphone

My iMac WIFI with Yosemite randomly , doesn't detect my iphone to connect to.
My macbook pro does see it
I have wifi on and bluetooth both in the same icloud account

I have had the same issue from time to time with my iPhone and my MBP. I have posed the subject with techs at the Apple store and so far no solution, but as I said mine is off and on and I do run Yosemite on the MBP
