My iMac doesn't recognise any DVD.

Hello everyone!

I put it in, it whirrs for about a minute, then spits it out.

Version 10.5.8 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

I'm trying to install the Snow Leopard DVD. But it won't read any DVDs.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It doesn't read any DVD, or it doesn't read only the SL DVD?

Either way, if you can find another Mac you can use FireWire target disk mode and install from another computer with a FireWire cable - assuming the SL DVD is fine.
