My Imac G4 wont connect!

Hi there,
I'm quite new to this forums and i'm having abit of a problem.
The problem is, is that i just installed airport extreme to my imac and somehow it doesn't detect my network despite my macbook able to detect it so easily. I know that the airport works because i can create a computer-computer network and see it through my macbook.

Are there any tips to solve this problem or..... is it possible to use the internet from macbook to imac? do i need to buy an express or something? Please help
really want my imac to get it going. Thanks for any suggestions or tips!

What security settings do you have on your router? If you strip it of all these settings, can the iMac connect?

The imac can't detect the network at all which is strange...my macbook is in same distance and can easily detect it, also its funny that i can create computer-computer network and exchange files between two computers, my router is using a 128-bit wep key... imac g4's still rocks....
