My imac (late 2008) 24" gets slower with each 10.6.x release

Hi

I took Snow Leopard as a clean install. It was a little faster at first but since taking 6.1 and even more so on 6.2 it gets slower and slower. It now takes forever to start up some applications especially UB and sometimes even just Safari takes 10 bounces to launch!

Anybody else experiencing similar slow downs since taking 10.6.1-2?
