Hi all!

I was doing the yearly check / fix / hack to my first iMac at my mum and dad's place.
This time I wanted to install tiger and put a noctua fan instead of the noisy one.

All went fine but (I think, now sure) my flyback transformer was already pretty cooked.

It made an high pitched noise when the computer was off, the screen had a "twitch" now and then.

The twitch became more and more common ad and some point it went tsch... Tsch... Tsch... Boom.

Off, never turning on again.

I knew about this day so I did my homework in advance and bought on ebay the whole crt part (suction cap, power board, flyback transformer... The whole shebang).

I know this is a risky and potentially deadly fix, I will make sure that a professional does it probably but what I don't trust is the professional opening the iMac without cracking / destroying the plastic.

What I wanted to ask is...
Do you have a tip / technique / tutorial / service manual / video with instructions about how to do this?

Thanks for your time and help.
