Hey all.
I have a 17inch intel core duo iMac.

Lately, when i'm not messing with it, it just doesn't power down to sleep.

Whenever I go to sleep, i usually have a quick playlist in itunes to play, then it eventually goes to sleep to whatever I have it set to in preferences.

But lately it isn't doing that anymore. I wake up and my computer is still "on" so to speak (display is asleep, but its still on).

I thought maybe I had programs running, so to test it i closed everything (safari, itunes, etc..even though thats never been a reason to stay awake).

Still it doesn't go to sleep.

Of course, if i actually put the imac to sleep, thats no problem.

But i'm a bit concerned about this.

Anyone help appreciated.

Horray for people who have 17" iMacs like myself! :p

But have you checked the system prefs? Something may have changed there. And delete any programs such as caffeine.

If that doesn't work, try singing it to sleep.
