Hey fellas, I have an intel iMac, core duo. When I try to put it to sleep it wakes up about 2 seconds later. Other times it waits about 10 seconds to wake up. I have recently connected a new wireless mouse(not BT) and I thought that it may be the problem.

I disconnected the mouse and put it to sleep using the keyboard, same results. I have reset the SMC chip by shutting it down and disconnecting everything then unplugging the iMac. I appreciate any help with this that I can get.

Also under system preferences I have my imac set to sleep after 15 minutes of being inactive, but it never has slept on it's own in the past year, the screen will, but not the computer. I have put disks to sleep when possible checked, and also unchecked, but same results.

I appreciate it guys.
