My IMessage isn't working

Hi, im beging to get really frustrated my imessage will not work,
i have tried the system preferences-flash player - block all sights
and thats hasn't work, i have my phone connected to it all, and when ever i i message someone of my phone it comes thru on my mac but there is no text..
as see picture

i have a mac book air OSX Version 10.8.4


i would love some help! thanks so much
