my internet doesnt work while plugged into my external monitor

for the past 6 months, I have been using my macbook in binmode with a benq v2400w monitor. Earlier today, my internet stopped working. After trying to figure out the problem, I unplugged the external monitor and used my macbook as a laptop, and viola, the internet was back on.

my internet works perfectly fine, but as soon as I turn on my monitor, my connection is completely lost. Any insight or help please?!?!!
