my ipad just shows the apple Icon

Just Shows apple icon
Do a hard reset. Hold the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the screen goes black. then let go of the sleep button but hold the home button until the apple appears. If that doesn't work connect to the computer and do the same thing. Last thing to try is if iTunes sees it when connected to the computer do a restore to factory settings.
Next would be make an appointment at the Genuis Bar at the nearest Apple Store.
