I just got mine today. Your scores edge mine out by a little bit. My single core score was 4165. Multi core 15,674.

It might be the extra four gigs of RAM, plus the jump from 3800 to 4165 single core performance, but it generally feels faster than my M4.

Boot time is really really fast. I haven’t timed it but it seems it’s just a few seconds.

I just don’t run Benchmarks. My new M5 iPad Pro is 100% “snappier” the M4 iPad with less RAM and slower RAM unfortunately was Really lagging and sluggish with iPad OS animations and fluid animations.

Did you download then latest beta or are you running the stock ipad os it came with?

The beta version seems to give higher scores. I ran the test three times and chose the middle score results.

Your m4 was lagging? Sounds like user error. Never heard of a laggy m4. It could’ve most probably been fixed easily with a hard reset or factory restore.
