Okay, so I have an iPad Air, 4th gen, plugged into a basic BenQ monitor. Unless I missed something, I can now use the speakers on my iPad when plugged into it? I frankly don’t believe it. I restarted the iPad, updated it to the latest version and it still works.
Did I miss this in a previous update or is my iPad somehow ‘broken’? I can still switch to the monitor’s speakers or my AirPods or right back to my iPad and it works perfectly. I’m blown away…..

Just discovered it when I updated to iOS 17, nice feature/fix of Apple. It was pretty annoying before, especially if the monitor didn't have any speakers.
