I'm trying to airplay my iPads screen to my iMacs screen, did some research and found a program named air server. When i pull my CC up to turn it on, it isn't allowing me to press it, its like the buttons blacked out.
Its supposed to look like this
iOS-7-Control-Center.jpg

but it looks like this

my ipad is jailbroken on 7.1.1 if that helps

Just put my ipad in safe mode which pretty much disables all the jailbreak tweaks, and now the airplay button/option is gone all together

My guess is your iPad isn't detecting am AitPlayable device. Verify that your Mac and iPad is on the same wifi network. It would help if you have an AppleTV or another AirPlay device that connects over wifi so we can test if the problem is your iPad or your Mac.

Did you try this?

Yeah thats the problem too but why isn't it working? Im using air server its a app that lets you airplay your iPad to your mac btw

They're on the same wifi i only have one wifi connection in my home

There's really only a few ways this cannot work:
1) Your Mac is NOT turned on
2) AirServer is NOT started on your Mac
3) Your Mac in NOT connected to the ONLY WiFi in your home
4) Your iPad is NOT connected to the ONLY WiFi in your home

Check with your iPhone or iTouch, you should see the AirServer (AirPlay button lit up).

I've setup 100s of these and diagnosed dozens.

I fixed it, i cant believe it was something so simple that got me this frustrated

all i had to do was reset my wifi modem, worked after that

That has never shown up for me before. Usually, if airplay is available, the icon won't show up at all.

But then again, I find that airplay has been getting quite unreliable of late. Not sure if it's ios7 breaking it or my route simply not being up to scratch (I use a mifi device). I find my connection in class dropping more often these days.
