This has never happened to me. I ordered from Apple.com and I was supposed to pick it up today September 23, 2024 at 4:30pm-4:45pm. I selected an Apple Store that was far away because it was the only store that had a black iPhone 16PM. I drove 90 minutes because of Los Angeles traffic!

I was getting nervous because it was getting close to the time and I was not receiving a QR code. Later, as I was driving to Apple and I received a call from a Texas number. I answered and it was someone at the Apple Store. I was asked if I ordered an iPhone and I said yes. I said I had not received a QR code and the guy said I would receive it in 5 minutes. I never received anything and no one was able to help me at the store. They kept telling me to wait a little longer and I ended up leaving.

I was frustrated because I already sold my iPhone online. I hope there's one available near me...

Has this happened to anyone else?

This happened to me yesterday with another phone I was picking up. But the employee at the apple store advised me to call Apple Store support. They confirmed via phone all looked good with my web order # but there was a delay in processing and even tho my in store pick up email said 3:30 check in time, it would be closer to 5pm. They advised me to wait in the store. I did for an hour. The moment I decided to leave to get a drink nearby, I got the email that it was ready. Phew.
